Inner Peace and Joy: Tip #8 Do not be Sorry

Inner Peace and Joy Daily Meditation: The Book of Proverbs is loaded with wisdom nuggets. Read Proverbs 8, pull out the wisdom nuggets and apply them to your life

Inner Peace is a mental state of being. If you are remorseful for long periods of time you are in contradiction of having a peaceful state of being.

Do not be Sorry
The reason why you shouldn't be sorry is because being remorseful and feeling guilty for long periods of time is stressful on your mind and body. And if you are carrying this emotional burden of guilt then during that time you are not able to experience inner peace or joy.

What You Can Do Instead of Being Sorry:

1. Forgive others for what they have done to you as well as forgive yourself for what you may have done to others. When you forgive, you release all of the negative feelings that you have attached to others and you make room for the good that you desire.

2. Except that you can not change what happened in the past because what has happened in the past is done and over with. Today is a fresh start and you should concentrate on doing all that you can do today.

When you are feeling sorry you are holding yourself back from experiencing the joys of life because inner joy and peace does not abide in the same place with sorrow. The way that you are going to experience inner joy and peace is by learning how to respond in a joyful and peaceful manner to your circumstances instead of responding in a negative way.

Living your life with inner joy and peace is a decision that you have to make for yourself and it takes time, practice as well as trial and error in order to get it right.
